New York, NY USA is known for its history as a gateway for immigration to the United States and its status as a financial, cultural, transportation, and manufacturing center.

NYC is the largest city in the States. Most of the city's neighborhoods and landmarks are known around the world. Famous neighborhoods include Queens, Brooklyn, Bronx, Staten Island and neighborhoods in Manhattan like Little Italy, Soho, Chinatown, Wall Street, Chelsea, Meatpacking District Harlem, midtown and upper east and west side.

The city's television and film industry is the second largest in the country after Hollywood in L.A. New York is also a global center for the tv, advertising, music, newspaper and book publishing industries

Yankees, Knicks and the Metz are major sports teams of the city. New York Liberty represents the team in WNBA. One major sports activity is the US Open tennis tournaments that take place in September of each year. Arthur Ashe Stadium is home to the event and is one of the biggest Tennis grand slam stadiums in the world.
